The Mini variants which were launched are Mini Cooper at Rs 24.9 lakh, Mini Cooper S at Rs 27.9 lakh, Mini convertible at Rs 29.99 lakh and Mini Countryman at Rs 31.99 lakh , ex-showroom(Delhi).The BMW-owned manufacturer will bring in four models, namely the Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper Convertible and Cooper S Countryman into India as completely built units (CBUs). The Mini range will be sold through three exclusive dealerships – Deutsche Motoren and Bird Automotive in New Delhi and Infinity Cars in Mumbai.
The Mini was set to arrive way back in 2009,but,the unfavorable market conditions at that time meant that Indian Auto enthusiasts had to wait for two more years before they could finally set their hands on these historic,amazing,achievements of British Motoring .The Mini is a Grand Legend all over the World!
The Cooper hatchback is the most affordable car in the line-up. However, with an asking price of Rs. 24.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi),it is going to make you pay dearly.All the models are available with the choice of petrol engines and six-speed automatic transmission.
The Minis come with a heavy price because of the high import duty imposed on imported cars in India, which also add a tax burden of about 110 per cent.All the Minis are imported in Single Built Units.The company has started bookings of the Mini in India and deliveries will start by March.
Lets see what the Minis are;
