Create a Mental Image of the person you want to be.Living a long and healthy life requires more than just good genes and a lot of luck. It requires  a diet that consists of eating the correct foods in the right combinations. This, coupled with applying nutritionally sound practices, will help you eat to be fit for life.Be kind and gentle to yourself. Learn to love and accept who you are first.

Determine the number of calories you need based on the amount of energy you expend each dayIn order to maintain your current body weight, you need to burn as many calories as your body uses.SF2

Eat no more than 23 g of fat per day.Eat a healthy breakfast.Maximize the health benefits of eating fruit.”Eat to live; don’t live to eat”. Develop tastes for healthy foods, such as fruits and vegetables, and limit your intake of refined sugar and salt.You can actually reduce the incidence of diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes and cancer by eliminating refined sugar and reducing sodium.

Learn to Meditate. Find the Time.Learn to think like a Vegetarian Your Mind, conscious and subconscious will discover ways and means to fit exactly what works for you.Your body will naturally resist and detoxify.

Eat between 3 and 5 meals a day. Stick to portions and you will be hungry when your body is ready for the next meal.Exercise for at least 30 minutes at least three times per week.Eat a balanced diet, including unprocessed carbohydrates, fresh fruit and vegetables etc. It is fine to eat fast food sometimes too!Remember to always keep clean by taking a shower everyday, washing your hands, brushing your hair and teeth, and using mouthwash and floss.You have a better chance of not getting sick.

Eat a variety of foods, especially:Vegetables. Choose dark-green leafy and deep-yellow vegetables,Fruits. Choose citrus fruits or juices, melons, and berries,Dry beans (such as red beans, navy beans, and soybeans), lentils, chickpeas, and peanuts,Whole grains, such as wheat, rice, oats, corn, and barley,Whole grain breads and cereals.

Weighing too much or too little can lead to health problems. After age 45, many people gain too much weight. You can control your weight by eating healthy foods and being physically active.Physical activity  will help you feel better and stay at a healthy weight. Brisk walking can be just as good for you as an activity such as jogging. Try to do a total of 30 minutes of constant physical activity, such as fast walking, most days of the week.
